HDS 2.0 and the student agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. All fees are payable in advance before the first training session. Payment can be made using a credit/debit
card. All credit/debit card payments will be assessed with a 4% fee. If paying by check, funds must process
through the bank before services start.
2. All educational materials issued are the property of HDS 2.0 and they must be returned in good condition at
the completion of the course.
3. Cancellation of driving and testing appointments must be made at least 24 hours before scheduled
appointment. Students will be charged $50 if cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the
appointment begins.
4. No certificate of completion will be issued until all fees have been paid in full.
5. There will be a $35.00 service charge for all returned checks and for all replaced documents.
6. HDS 2.0 will complete the course within a reasonable length of time, however, it cannot be held responsible
for delays caused by unsafe driving conditions due to bad weather, mechanical problems or any other
reasons over which it has no control. HDS 2.0 will provide as much notice as possible if a delay becomes
necessary.
7. Attendance is mandatory. There are no make-up days. If you miss a class, you will be given one option
to register for another class without repaying but you will be dropped from the current class. The option to
register for another class must be completed within 90 days of the current class start date. If there is an
attendance issue with the rescheduled class, you will be dropped from the class and you will then have to
re-register and re-pay for another class. There are no exceptions.
8. The fees contained herein cannot be guaranteed longer than ninety (90) days from the beginning date of the
course.
9. While HDS 2.0 will exert its best efforts in teaching the student to meet the requirements of the NC Division
of Motor Vehicles examination, the school cannot guarantee that the student will successfully pass a DMV
exam upon completion of the course.
10. The student must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to agree to and sign this contract. The contract
must be signed by a parent or guardian if the student is under age 18.
11. The student may use a HDS 2.0 vehicle for the actual license exam if the student has completed a minimum
of six (6) hours behind-the-wheel training. Use of a school vehicle for the Division of Motor Vehicles Road
test is at the discretion of HDS 2.0 instructors.
12. If a student is approved to use a HDS 2.0 vehicle for the Division of Motor Vehicles Road test, a fee of $200
will be accessed. This fee must be paid in advance of taking the DMV test.
13. Under this agreement an instructor may not provide behind-the-wheel training to more than three individual
students.
14. HDS 2.0 will not refund any tuition monies or any part thereof when actual services have been rendered.
15. This agreement constitutes the entire contract between HDS 2.0 and the student, and any verbal
assurances or promises not contained herein shall bind either the school or the student.
16. HDS 2.0 is licensed by the State of North Carolina, Division of Motor Vehicles.
Refund Policy: We are happy to refund tuition for classroom instruction, less a $25 processing fee, if you cancel
classes two full working days prior to the first class meeting. If a request for a refund is made less than two working
days prior to the first class, the student will receive a refund equal to 50% of the paid class tuition. If a student cancels
a behind-the-wheel session at least 24 hours before a scheduled appointment, the session fee will be refunded minus
$50. If a behind-the-wheel session is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, no refund will
be provided.
